Ingredients

For the chicken tenders:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenderloins, cut into strips.

  • 1 large egg.

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour.

  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (for extra crunch).

  • ½ teaspoon salt.

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • Vegetable oil for frying.

For the honey butter D’Bocas glaze:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter.

  • 2 tablespoons honey.

  • 1–2 tablespoons D’Bocas Hot Sauce, adjusted to your preferred spice level.

Instructions

  • Prepare the chicken tenders:

Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper. Beat the egg in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, combine the flour and panko breadcrumbs. Dip each chicken strip into the egg, then coat evenly with the flour-panko mixture.

  • Fry until golden:

Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken tenders in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

In a clean skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the honey and D’Bocas Hot Sauce. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until warm and well combined.

  • Coat the chicken:

Add the fried chicken tenders to the glaze. Gently toss to coat each piece evenly with the sweet and spicy sauce.

  • Serve and enjoy:

Serve immediately with extra D’Bocas Hot Sauce on the side. Pairs perfectly with fries, coleslaw, or a fresh green salad.

💡D’Bocas Tip:

Garnish with chopped cilantro or green onions for a fresh finish. Want more heat? Add a few drops of D’Bocas Hot Sauce to the glaze for an extra kick of flavor and spice.
